Spaces By Design is owned and managed by husband-and-wife team, Marie and Andrew Pope, both of whom share a passion for kitchen design. With a degree in furniture design, Marie spent many years in the industry, and now specialises in Interior Design, this proves a major benefit to clients when it comes to choosing kitchen, bedroom or bathroom furniture. Comparatively, Andrew originally trained in industrial transport design, and since spent 25+ years working in yacht design, a feat which lends itself well when it comes to planning for restricted spaces; this includes the many low ceilings or awkward spaces common to many of the buildings and homes local to Stamford.

Spaces by Design carried out a total refurbishment of my ensuite shower room which had become rather worn and dated after 23 years. It has now been transformed and I am delighted with the result. It looks incredible. Andrew took the time to visit, listen to what I was aiming to achieve and came up with some design ideas which maximised effective use of limited space. We made some minor changes along the way but the end design was much as he had proposed. Spaces by Design have a great piece of kit where you can literally step into your newly designed space using a headset and computer graphics. It was so good to see what it would look like beyond the plan on a page. The guys doing the fitting did a great job and were pleasant and neat and tidy. The project started and finished on time and all in all I had a great customer experience and so very happy to recommend Spaces by Design.

We Chose Spaces by Design for 2 reasons the first being they do the whole job from design through to completion and secondly I know that Andrew and Marie are very talented designers with an acute eye for detail. The design was agreed with my wife (it was her project) to the price parameters set and the team came in and did the work professionally and capably and we have a fabulous new bathroom. All in all a relatively painless exercise very well carried out.

For some time I have been meaning to get a new kitchen, visiting several places and getting a few ideas, but I lacked the inspiration to actually do it. I contacted Marie at Spaces after a recommendation and knew after the first visit, i would get the kitchen done through Marie. Marie had great ideas on how we could best use our space, producing several designs, one in which was perfect for us. Spaces use great products which are of great quality.
Marie always kept us updated with delivery times and responded to queries very quickly. We are very happy with our kitchen and still can’t believe we have it so nice. (We are now looking forward to having our bathrooms doing) .

I can’t thank Marie and her Team enough for the wonderful new bathroom they designed and fitted for my elderly parents. The time had come for a walk in shower with all the appropriate aids for my 88 year old father. They now have an amazing bathroom that looks modern and fresh. Certainly not an “old persons” bathroom. We had the inevitable “covid delays” but my goodness it was worth the wait. We cannot praise the guys enough who fitted the bathroom. They were a pleasure to be with and worked so so hard . My parents loved having them there, they were so considerate and thoughtful. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Spaces by Design. They were perfect.

Spaces by Design recently carried out a total renovation and remodelling of our kitchen, downstairs cloakroom and outdoor courtyard. Marie put in a lot of time and effort helping us to design the optimal layout for our new kitchen. The suppliers used seem to have provided high quality materials and the visit to the kitchen unit supplier’s factory was particularly useful in ironing out the smaller details. Spaces by Design recently refurbished both our bathrooms and I can’t recommended them highly enough. Excellent guidance during the design phase helped us focus and sift through the numerous options you can get overwhelmed with and they offer a professional, friendly service with superb support and communication throughout the installation process. When making the decision to commit to something that decimates your savings we can be a little fussy but, no question asked or issued raised was ever a problem at all. In fact, it was welcomed and dealt with quickly and efficiently which highlights their commitment to ensuring the whole process runs smoothly and stress free.
