Either way, there is always a place for the timeless design of a simple yet elegant colour scheme, but with an emphasis on quality materials. Think Carrara or Arabescato Marbles, natural timbers and neutral nature-inspired colour palettes.
But we see 2024 as a bolder brighter place for those willing to embrace designs with more personality and expression but with a side of nature. This trend will see spaces drenched in rich colours, dramatic patterns and exciting textures, but this needs to be in context so they don't clash or scream when you walk in the door.
Bathrooms will continue to focus to be a place of sanctuary and retreat, but as these are more personal spaces they will have a little more character and opulence.
Large format tiles such as Rainforest Guatemala, and Rainforest Lemurian.
Feature tiles like Rilato Terrazzo Laguna, Fez, Palazzo Ora and Preen Verdigris.
Kitchen trends for 2024 include carbon black units, concrete or wood-effect floors and worktops with stronger veining and metallics.
Worktops such as Calacatta Monet or 506 Mirabel, both from Caesatone.
Texture can be added to create a tactile feel, such as honed or matt finishes to the worktops or tiles to splashbacks.
